We provide simple tools to help busy families gather together and grow in faith.
Welcome to Gather & Grow! My name is Jess Wolstenholm and I’m a busy mom, just like you. I want to see my children grow in relationship with Jesus and our family impact the world for his glory, but it seems impossible to fit effective faith-building into our very busy lives. Can you relate?
I believe in the power of the local church and community but I know we can’t rely on others to lead the spiritual formation of our children.
Faith begins at home.
This truth overwhelmed me at first but then I realized our kids (ages 8 and 5) will only thrive in this ever-changing world if they experience a safe, authentic culture of faith, right where they live. So my husband and I have become more intentional about cultivating their knowledge of God and the Bible as well as how to apply it to their daily lives.
Your greatest contribution to the kingdom of God may not be something you do but someone you raise. Andy Stanley
We don’t do this perfectly and we’ve only just begun but we’re growing as we go. I’ve learned faith-building doesn’t have to be complicated. It doesn’t have to look like the picture-perfect family sitting in the living room with a giant study Bible. It doesn’t necessarily mean we spend an hour weekly (or even much time daily) in Bible study and prayer.
When I think back to my own childhood, I don’t remember all of the ways my parents were imperfect. But I do remember the love and spirit of God I felt in our home. I remember feeling an open invitation, at all times, to ask questions and have conversations surrounding life and faith. Those two things were beautifully intertwined in our home. Life was faith. Faith was life. It all blended together so that our growth came naturally, blooming in the midst of ordinary days. My siblings and I didn’t grow to be perfect little Christians – we’ve all had seasons of struggle – but our roots were deep and they remain, flourishing as we continue to tend our faith, even now.

I want those deep roots for my family, and I want them for yours, too. So I’m on a mission to make faith-building simple and long-lasting and I’m thrilled you’ve chosen to join me here. I pray you’ll be empowered by the community and resources you find in this space.
