With 15 years of work in the Christian music industry, I’ve met some really amazing + talented people. It’s always fun to see who goes on to do what after a career in Christian music. Every once in a while I have the privilege of reconnecting with someone I worked with over the years, and I absolutely love stepping into their story.
As God would have it, he recently allowed me to cross paths with an incredible couple I had the joy of working with 10 years ago. Dave + Jess Ray are a beautifully talented duo with a heart for worship. And because God always knows exactly what he’s doing when he connects us with others doing his work, Dave + Jess have been using their gifts to engage families in worship experiences at home. When I heard about what they are doing, my heart leapt with joy because. . .FAMILY!
With our forthcoming launch of Gather & Grow, this connection is so timely. I couldn’t wait to share with you about their ministry, Doorpost Songs! Although we have our own family Advent reading plan + Bible study, what Dave + Jess are doing is different + special because it involves music.
With their engaging devotions + memory verse cards, Doorpost Songs family worship kits are exactly the type of resource we love at Grace for Moms + Gather & Grow. And because they include (amazing) music, they work for families with kids of all ages! Doorpost songs has several family worship kits but now is the perfect time to try Unto Us, their Advent family worship experience.

To celebrate our re-connection, Dave + Jess are giving away 2 year long subscriptions to Doorpost Songs which includes every family worship resource in their library!! Enter via Rafflecopter below!
With all the amazing Advent resources out there, it can feel like a lot of pressure to do something special. I’m here to tell you, it doesn’t have to be hard. All of these great resources are available to make it simple + meaningful. There’s no pressure friends. Try a few things and you’ll discover what works for your family. The important thing is to simply pause, gather together and do what you can to grow in faith.
How do you plan to celebrate Advent as a family?
