What better way to complete our Advent journey and welcome Christmas Day than with a prayer. Perhaps this prayer time will lead to your child accepting Christ as their savior or maybe it will simply be a prayer of thanksgiving for Jesus coming to be God with us. Use this prayer or write your own. Either way, gather together today, on day 25 of this journey, Christmas Day. Acknowledge Christ. . .Immanuel. . .God with us, with thankful hearts that understand our need for a savior.
A Christmas Prayer
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for coming to us on Christmas Day. You are the greatest gift ever given and ever received. Your life brought hope, peace and joy to your people and still brings those precious gifts to us today. May our lives be an example of those gifts everyday throughout the year. Thank you for the blessings you’ve given our family. We celebrate YOU today through giving, loving and experiencing joy in your presence. Amen.
Merry Christmas friends. We look forward to growing in grace with you in 2014.
