It’s Valentine’s Day season and this year, we’re sharing our family love story through custom Minted art in our home!

I’ve been thinking lately about what I want our lives to say to those we come in contact with daily – our family, friends and neighbors. We’ve talked about family story a lot around here over the years because I believe what we value, what we do and even our surroundings tell a tale about who we are.

My husband and I have had many chats in the past year about what we want our family life to be about. Now that our children are a bit older (8 + 5) it feels like we’re developing our family culture and personality. And as the personalities of my children develop, we are getting more of a feel for the story we want to tell with our lives.

Valentine’s Day is day where we typically spread love through cute cards, yummy treats and kind words. And while I love everything about the holiday, I think it can be about so much more.

This next month, I encourage you to think about the love story your family life is telling. How can you love on your kids by being intentional with your surroundings? Our home is their haven. What they see around them becomes such a big part of their story.

We’ve come to value travel and adventure in our family and we dream of taking the kids with us to places around the globe so we can give them a broad world-view of different cultures and people. So we’re telling that story in our living room – the room we spend the most time in as a family. My husband had our fireplace done in reclaimed wood for my birthday (isn’t it amazing!) and I’ve been searching for just the right art to display on the mantle. Thanks to Minted, I found the perfect pieces to finish off the room!

My husband has always been a map lover so it was easy to combine his personality with our new-found dream of travel. Minted had just the right family-friendly, customizable art for our home.

A sweet, little village that reminds us, no matter where we go, we’ll always be at home in our community.

A colorful globe which says, “Oh the places we’ll go” customized with our last name on the luggage tag (so cute!).

A compass the points us toward HOME because again, no matter where we travel, we’ll always come back to each other.

This is the story we want to share with our children. And this Valentine’s Day, we hope they feel our family love through the sense of adventure + fun in their surroundings.

Minted is offering 15% off art + gifts right now and if you order by February 1, you can get it before Valentine’s Day. What if this year you shared love with your family through a fun + customized piece of art to display in your home?!

Our three Minted art pieces finished off the room perfectly!

Minted’s fresh and colorful style works beautifully with the decor I already had!

While you are visiting Minted, be sure to check out their adorable classroom Valentine’s (we featured them here on the blog last year).

What family love story will you tell this Valentine’s Day?

My love affair with Minted is no secret to you, I’m sure. A few times a year I have the privilege of sharing their amazing products with my readers. I was given this art in exchange for my review but all opinions are my own! Read my full disclosure here.
