Grace on Display {DaySpring coupon + giveaway}

Grace on Display

We talk a lot about sharing grace in this community. We want to be women who extend to others {and ourselves} the same gift freely given to us by God. But as much as grace is my goal, I struggle daily to walk in it. Some days it feels as though my heart were bound in chains of criticism and judgement for myself and others. I believe the enemy works even harder to trap those who recognize grace. He knows if left alone, we’d be a force for the gospel message, lived out and shared in our spheres of influence. And so he whispers lies of defeat and apathy; pride and self-importance.

Our greatest weapon in the daily battle we fight is the truth. I’ve been learning in this season that it’s not enough to know the truth. I want it to be. I want to move confidently through every season of life because I once learned what is true about God, myself and his love for me. I want that to be enough, but it’s not. As I struggle to walk in the truth I’ve held for years, I’m reminded that in order to live the truth we believe we must constantly reacquaint ourselves with it.

At times reconnection comes in the form of scripture or prayer. And sometimes it comes with merely a word – spoken quietly within us, shouted boldly with all our being, or on display in our midst – an ongoing reminder of who be belong to and the power we possess.

And so I’ve planted reminders all throughout my home of the truth of God’s great grace. I’ve placed grace on display right beside my bed. It’s the first word I read when I wake up and the last thing I see at night before I close my eyes; the beginning and the end of my day. I’m using DaySpring’s beautiful Letterpress Blocks to display my life word. It’s a constant reminder to #sharegrace with others and extend it to myself. I’ve wanted a set of Letterpress Blocks for a while now and thought about getting another word but kept coming back to this. These wooden beauties are the perfect way to display grace in my home.

Grace on Display Dayspring Giveaway

Oh how I wish truth followed us into every moment of every day. Although truth never changes, it does need to be remembered. I hope that in displaying reminders and returning to the Word on a regular basis, I’ll be empowered to walk in what I know to be true.

Friends, what truth do you need to remember in this season? How can you put grace {or other truth} on display in your own life?

    Love this verse, Ephesians 2:8- For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. It’s not displayed in our home but we live by it!

    I have several frames that I rotate favorite prints of verses that fill my day with reminders. Also hang reminders for myself inside my kitchen cupboards — sometimes I need that extra reminder from God’s Word when I’m trying to cook supper

    I am realizing that I do not display anything that reminds me specifically of His Grace…although I most definitely should!

    God has put the word strength on my heart lately. Not my own strength but that I need to let Him be my strength always.

    My favorite word right now is “greater”
    Just like the song, it reminds me that God is so much greater than anyone’s opinions or negative comments. He is truly Greater than anyone in this temporary world.
