Faith Tools for Parenting + Marriage
Connected Families – Over the past year, I have grown to love this ministry and the many tools it provides that offer a completely balanced, grace-based yet effective approach to discipline and child training. Their latest book, Discipline That Connects With Your Child’s Heart: Building Faith, Wisdom, and Character in the Messes of Daily Life is full of practical guidance. The ministry also offers wonderful online courses parents can take for a more guided approach to learning how to teach and train children.
Family Life, Weekend to Remember – Earlier this year my husband and I attended the Family Life, Weekend to Remember couples conference. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. We’re not big conference people. We’d never been to a couples conference in almost 15 years of marriage. But we absolutely loved the experience and we both walked away with practical insight that we’re still processing and working to put into place in our marriage. WTR was a fun and valuable investment into our marriage. Because we can’t lead our kids from a place of lack. We need to be on the same page, growing in our marriage and in faith, together, before we can guide our kids deeper in Jesus. Click here to find a WTR event near you. Whew! That’s a lot of helpful resources. Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed. Browse through them again and ask God to show you which ones might be helpful to you and your family. Pray, “Jesus, we want to grow in you. Show us the best tools to cultivate our faith as a family.” And then commit to explore a few books or other resources in the next few months in an effort to plants seeds in the hearts of your kids.
Praying you’ll experience beautiful growth as you study God’s Word together.
